Fed up of Kareena’s nakhras, Madhur finally shelves ‘Heroine’
Mumbai: Sick and tired of running after Kareena Kapoor, Bollywood ace director Madhur Bhandarkar has finally shelved his upcoming next ‘Heroine’.
Buzz has it that Madhur was exasperated by Kareena’s repeated insistence for changes in the script, which she felt was too loud and controversial. Apparently, Madhur blankly refused to change the script and Kareena didn’t budge either. Finally, it was Madhur who had to drop the idea of making ‘Heroine’.
It is widely believed that Kareena wanted to stay away from ‘Heroine’ because it was loosely based on the life of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, who was reportedly involved with the Kennedy brothers at the time of their marriage. However, Kareena, who herself is in a romantic relationship with once happily married Saif Ali Khan wanted to stay away from this role.
Taking to a daily, a source cleared rumours that Madhur approached any other actress for the lead role as, “Madhur approached only Kareena. She kept him waiting for six months. Now, Madhur has completely lost interest in the film.”
Interestingly, the decision to shelve ‘Heroine’ was taken last week. “It was not an easy decision. There was a lot of ‘yes’ and ‘no’ between Madhur and his team. However, they finally decided to do away with it,” said the source.
Rumour has it that Madhur taken time off to write a male-dominated script for his next after ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji.’
