Mumbai: Four diverse filmmakers Anurag Kashyp, Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee and Zoya Akhtar have joined hands for a film called ‘Bombay Talkies’ -- a tribute to Indian cinema`s centenary. But Akhtar clarifies it will not be a documentary.
"Yes, I am making a film on 100 years of Indian cinema. But let me clear this ... it is not a documentary. It is a fiction film," Akhtar told IANS. Hesitant to give out further details, the ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ filmmaker said: "I can`t talk much about the film till the producers make an official announcement on the same. But the film is directed by four of us - Anurag, Dibakar, Karan and myself." According to reports, each director has made a 20-minute film on the same concept of how cinema is an integral part of almost every Indian`s life and how it influences the nation`s masses. IANS
