Mumbai: Relatively new to the industry, actress Anushka Sharma has already started throwing starry tantrum. Post the success of her film ‘Band Baaja Baarat’, the girl seems to have changed colours.
Anushka, who is just three films old in the industry, has been giving a tough time to the producer of ‘Patiala House’ and her co-star Akshay Kumar. Buzz has it that the young actress has not been giving her dates to the makers of her upcoming film’s promotional events.
Anushka is still basking in the success of her last hit ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ and is completely avoiding promotional dos for her next film ‘Patiala House’. The lady has not confirmed her dates for the promotion of her latest flick ‘Patiala House, slated to release 1st February.
While talking to a news daily, a source close to the crew of the Akshay Kumar starrer film revealed, “The producer Bhushan Kumar and director Nikhil Advani have been trying to get Anushka`s dates, but she seems to be too busy with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. Whenever the makers of ‘Patiala House’ approached her for dates her manager told them that she would revert later.”
Moreover, despite repeated reminders to spare time for the film’s promotional campaigns, Anushka ignorned all calls.
“They can`t understand why she is dillydallying. When a superstar like Akshay Kumar can find time to promote his film, why can`t Anushka? The makers are aghast with Anushka`s unprofessionalism. They feel the success of Band Baaja Baaraat has gone to her head. She is still making the crew of Patiala House wait endlessly for her dates, “ added the source.
However, director Nikhil Advani and producer Bhushan Kumar had a different story to tell.
“Akshay and Anushka both are very excited for the film to release. We are trying to work out dates for promotions as they both want to promote the film well”, said a modest Nikhil Advani.
Producer Bhushan Kumar also chose to be politically correct and said, “Akshay and Anushka got along very well during the shoot and I`m sure they are working out their dates for promotion. They both are professionals."
