Toronto: Actress-turned-producer Hema Malini is looking forward to her new film `Tell Me Oh Khuda` releasing in September, which has the father-daughter duo of Dharmendra and Eesha Deol share screen space together for the first time.
The film is the first production by Hema, who says she is excited about the bringing together her husband and daughter for the first time.
"It is an ambitious project for me and will release on September nine. My husband Dharmendra will be sharing screen space with our daughter Esha for the first time," said Malini, who is here at the IIFA award to promote the movie.
`Tell Me Oh Khuda` is about a young girl`s passionate quest to know the truth about her father and how she character lands up in many places like Rajasthan, Turkey and Goa in her journey. The star cast also includes Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Farooq Sheikh, Arjan Bajwa and Chandan Roy Sanyal.
"The protagonist is desperate to know the truth and her childhood buddy and boyfriend help her in the journey.
This is what the film is all about," Malini said.
The 62-year-old actress described the platform of IIFA as spectacular.
Malini who is also known for her dancing skills, said, "I am a very passionate person. I was looking for a wonderful script to direct a movie again and am glad I found it."
The movie, which will also sees Esha performing dangerous stunts, created a fear amongst the parents, to which Dharmendra said, "Even though I have done many stunts myself in my younger days, I was worried for her. When I asked her why she did the stunts her self, she told me she too is brave enough," said the proud father.
Dharmendra who has two sons Sunny and Bobby Deol with his first wife and has acted with them in `Apne` and `Yamla Pagla Deewana`, hopes that his fans accept his film with daughter Esha in the same manner.
