I accept films in which my character stands out: Annu Kapoor
Mumbai: Veteran actor Annu Kapoor, who essays the role of one of the seven husbands in Vishal Bharadwaj`s `Saat Khoon Maaf`, says he accepts only those films in which his character stands out be it a big or small banner movie.
"I take up only those films where my character or role is significant in terms of length, its importance and it should be noticeable. I don`t mind if it`s a big or a small banner film," Annu told reporters.
Directed by Bharadwaj, `Saat Khoon Maaf`, is a thriller and black comedy film, with Priyanka Chopra in the lead role.
"I feel my role in `Saat Khoon Maaf` is strong and significant and would surely get noticed," the TV host-cum-actor said.
The 54-year-old actor essays the role of Kimmat Lal, an Inspector. "I play the fifth husband of Priyanka (Susanna) in the film. I get hooked up with the beauty of Susanna. I just know that Sussanna had got married earlier and her four husbands were killed."
Other husbands of the former Miss World in the film include Naseeruddin Shah, Irrfan Khan, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Russian actor Alexander Dyachenko and Vivaan Shah, son of Naseeruddin Shah.
The film, regarded to be a celluloid version of the Ruskin Bond book `Susanna`s Seven Husbands`, will hit cinema houses on February 18 next year.
