New Delhi: Bollywood`s blue-eyed boy Ranbir Kapoor admits he never liked watching Neetu Singh`s films when he was a kid as he felt protective of his mother.
"I used to feel bad watching my mom onscreen when I was a kid. I used to think she is my mother and no one should be judging her. I felt very protective of her," said Ranbir.
Neetu gained early fame in her life as a child artiste and subsequently as leading lady in films like `Khel Khel Mein` and `Rafoo Chakkar`. She retired from the silver screen at the age of 21 after marrying actor Rishi Kapoor.
The 52-year-old actress is now making a comeback with her husband in `Do Dooni Chaar` and Ranbir is all-excited about watching his parents together once again.
"Since I never could enjoy her films as a child, I am thrilled that she is making a comeback and I will get to watch my parents together on screen," said Ranbir.
The 27-year-old actor, who earlier dated Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, said he will never force his wife to leave showbiz in case he gets married to an actress.
"I will let my wife act if she wants to. My mother voluntarity gave up acting as she wanted to concentrate more on family life. But I understand how this industry works now and I will definitley not force my wife to give up her career," said Ranbir, who was in the capital recently to promote his upcoming release `Anjaana Anjani`.
The actor also said he is waiting for an opportunity to share screen space with his parents as well as his cousin, actress Kareena Kapoor.
"I would love to work with my mom and dad, I am just waiting for the right script to come our way. I would also love to work with Kareena, if a film with cousins ever gets
made," said Ranbir.
