Mumbai: Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor’s ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ is making news even before the release of the film. Film pundits forecast that if the film is as good as the trailer looks then producer Karan Johar has a winner up his sleeve. And the most talked about aspect of the film is the chemistry between the lead pair.
Directors, including Subhash Ghai, are gushing about Imran and Sonam and likening them to the star pair of the 80s – Anil Kapoor-Madhuri Dixit.
Ghai has even gone on to buy the Delhi and Uttar Pradesh distribution rights of the film for Rs 3.5 crore. “They’re like Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, a pair that has terrific chemistry and will sustain.” Ghai told a news daily.
Confirming the distribution rights deal, Subhash Ghai’s cousin Sanjay, said, “I think we have bought it for a very economical price. We run many cinemas in the North. We should be doing very good business with this purchase. We shall recover my money in the first week itself.”
Sanjay also said that Ghai was very impressed with the look of the film and wanted to be a part of it. “We were thinking of buying the rights of this film for a month-and-half now,” Sanjay added.
