It was a challenge to play a father: Sharman Joshi
Noida: Actors Boman Irani and Sharman Johsi visited Zee News office at Noida to promote their upcoming film `Ferrari Ki Sawaari`. The duo clad in white was at their wittiest best as they spoke at length about their new film produced by ‘3 Idiots’ famed Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Sharman Joshi, the actor who has received critical acclaim for his works will be playing the lead role in the film.
Sharman doesn’t appreciate this film of his being tagged his first solo film. He said, “I just go out there and enjoy my work. I’m happy doing what I’m doing. All the other things that follow or are attached to it are just byproducts.”
On being asked if the genre of his new film will again be a laughter riot, Sharman said, “It is in a comedy family drama space, but there is no laughter riot. It’s more like a heart-warming film.”
About the chemistry he shares with Boman Irani, the actor said, “It’s a wonderful feeling working with Boman. His comic timing and mine always seem to gel on screen and that is what gives an altogether different punch to the film.”
Sharing more about his role in ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ Sharman said, "It was a challenge for me to play a father. I have never done such an intense role before and so I had to do my homework and find inspiration from real life. Being a father myself helped, but I didn`t take inspiration from my personal life. It should rather come from the script itself, which is where the actor succeeds."
