Mumbai: Both these men in their mid forties know how to woo audiences worldwide for they are getting sexier with age.
Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan will be fighting it out at the Box Office on Diwali next year. Akki has teamed up with music- composer Himesh Reshammiya to co-produce `Khiladi 786 ` which will face competition from SRK’s untitled project Yash Raj Films.
However, Akki had no idea about SRK’s film that is slated to release next Diwali. Talking to a tabloid, a source revealed, “There`s no confirmation on Yashji`s film. Sensing the date open, when Akki and Himesh finalised their film, they decided to release it during Diwali as well.”
But Akki and Reshammiya aren’t worried. They are confident about their film’s storyline and believe that the film can garner handsomely at the Box Office.
”The script is the strong foundation of `Khiladi 786`, with a good dose of romance. So they`re not worried about any other film releasing on the same day. Akshay`s `Blue` registered a good opening in 2009 while Himesh`s `Damadamm` made profits this Diwali," the source added.
A source close to Akki’s production house said, “These days, it`s very important to have a good release date. `Khiladi 786` is a complete family entertainer.”
With King Khan’s `RA.One` doing decent business since its release on Diwali this year, Yash Raj will certainly hope a better show next year.
Who would top the BO records? Only time will tell.
