Mumbai: Looks like it’s the season of sequels in Bollywood. Superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar – all seem to be working on sequels to some blockbuster flicks these days. However, reports reveal that Salman Khan is one actor who’s been roped in for as many as four sequels, three of them with filmmaker Boney Kapoor. Kapoor, the producer of Salman starrer films like ‘No Entry’ and ‘Wanted’, has already spoken to the actor about the sequel of both the hit films, and has confirmed Anees Bazmee and Prabhudeva as the directors of ‘No Entry’ and ‘Wanted’ respectively. Kapoor is also keen to rope in Salman as the modern-day Mogambo for the ‘Mr India’ sequel. Talking to a news daily about the same, Salman said, “I don’t know which of these Boney will eventually make.” The actor, however, admitted that he is definitely doing ‘Partner 2’ with David Dhawan. Interestingly, Salman had announced the sequel even before the release of ‘Partner’. Buzz has it that Salman is teaming up with buddy Aamir Khan to bring Amar-Prem back on screen in the sequel of Rajkumar Santoshi’s cult comedy, ‘Andaaz Apna Apna’. Reports reveal that previously, Salman was also keen on remaking Manmohan Desai’s ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and at his behest, producer Ramesh Taurani had acquired the rights of the cult classic from Desai’s son Ketan. The remake was to feature all the three Khan brothers – Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail, and was to be directed by David Dhawan. But the project has been aborted now.
