JC Chandor to helm `Deepwater Horizon`

Los Angeles: `Margin Call` director JC Chandor is in talks to helm `Deepwater Horizon`, film on the 2010 explosion of the oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico that caused a massive offshore oil spill.

The 40-year-old screenwriter will direct the drama, whose most recent draft has been written by Matthew Michael Carnahan, reportedly.

The film will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian. Chandor is currently completing `A Most Violent Year` with Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain.
