Kangana-Madhavan film shoot stopped in Punjab

Shooting of the Kangana-Madhavan starrer ‘Tannu Weds Mannu’, planned in a mosque in Punjab, was cancelled after protests by the local residents. According to the officials, the shooting of the movie was planned inside a mosque here but was cancelled on the orders of Kapurthala deputy commissioner. A source said, "They threatened to interrupt the shooting as it would allegedly affect their religious sentiments."

According to the officials, the shooting of the movie was planned inside a mosque here but was cancelled on the orders of Kapurthala deputy commissioner Rajkamal Chaudhary. "Members of the film unit had started installing the sets inside the mosque Friday night. On seeing this, members of Muslim community gathered outside the mosque and started raising slogans against the administration and the filmmakers," said a police official.
