Mumbai: Although RGV had spent Rs 10 lakh on a pair of glares for his lead actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Sarkar Raj’, filmmaker Milan Luthria has outdone him.
Taking cue from Ramu, the director has reportedly shelved out a hefty amount of nearly Rs 20 lakh on Kangna Ranaut’s wigs in his forthcoming film ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’.
As per reports, the director is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Kangna, whose look in the film is inspired by Madhubala, comes real close to the icon. Confirming the reports, a source said, “The fact is that she gets to sport as many as 12 hair-dos in the film can only add to her glee. And as these hairdos are actually 12 different wigs, a whopping 20 lakhs were spent on all these wigs to create 12 looks for Kangna.”
Talking about her look in the film, Kangna says, “Several stylists have worked with me in the film. Milan wanted not just a retro look but also international ones at the same time. As a result they got the best hairstylists in the industry and they came at an expensive price.”
Well, here’s hoping that Kangna’s look is worth the price.
