Mumbai: After playing the role of a sophisticated politician in Prakash Jha’s ‘Raajneeti’, Bollywood’s lissome lass Katrina Kaif is all set to portray a zany girl who joins the Army in her upcoming flick.
Incidentally, Katrina turns into a producer with this film, where she plays a headstrong character, who rises above the pettiness of gender politics in a male-dominated world.
Talking to a news daily about her gender-bender flick, Katrina said, “I love doing that. I’ve always loved doing things which I’m told girls can’t or shouldn’t do. This is the way it was in our family where all of us sisters grew up with one brother in our midst who would do fun things while we girls were expected to do girlie things like play with dolls and learn cooking. No way!”
By the way, Katrina loves breaking gender rules as the actress narrated her recent experiences. “In Bhopal, I was told by my crew members Prakash Jha ji and Ranbir that the cricket games on location were not for me. So I bought my own cricket gear and forced my way into their games. Who says girls can’t play cricket? Or join the army?”
Can’t wait to watch Katrina in khakis!
