Mumbai: Cricket and Bollywood go hand in hand in India. Both are equally popular mediums of causing mass hysteria among people from all walks of life. Be it the IPL or any mega starrer release – the entertainment quotient of either of the two is simply outstanding. So, when any filmmaker decides to make a film on the recently expelled IPL chief Lalit Modi, and that too with the possibilities of heavyweights like Ajay Devgn or Irrfan Khan to play the lead, the news is bound to cause a stir. The film industry is abuzz with reports that the talented Ajay Devgn has already been approached to play the controversial character, but the actor seems reluctant in portraying the role. However, if Ajay denies playing the character, it is being said that Irrfan Khan, who has done some exemplary roles in the past would be considered to play Lalit Modi in the film which soon has plans to go on the floor. Percept boss Shailendra Singh, who’s producing the biopic on Modi, to be directed by Shamim Desai, has reportedly not denied the news. Talking to a news daily, Shailendra said, “We are looking at an actor who can act, who looks like Modi and is familiar with the biopic format.”
