New Delhi: Madhuri Dixit – who has wowed the audience with her dancing prowess– is all set to treat her fans with a mujra , similar to ‘Maar Dala’ from ‘Devdas’, for Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Dedh Ishqiya’.
The 45-year-old actress will be seen performing a mujra to ‘Apne Karar Mein’, which has been composed by Vishal Bhardwaj – also the co-producer of the film.
“The song is ready and we will be shooting for it after we’re done filming the entire movie. I can’t reveal much but I’ll say that it is a very elaborate number which will be shot on a big set,” a leading daily quoted co-producer Ketan Maru as saying.
Madhuri – who has played a variety of roles– will be playing the role of Begum Para of Lucknow and has been paired opposite Naseeruddin Shah in the film.
“Mine is a two-layered character. She (the begum) looks very happy on the surface but has her secret desires and cravings,” Madhuri said.
The talented actress – who was one of the most sought after actress in the 1980s and 1990s – too a long hiatus from the silver screen after her marriage Dr Shriram Nene and stayed in the US. However, now a mother to two sons, Madhuri marked her comeback with ‘Aaja Nachle’ in 2007 and also made her TV debut as the judge of a dance reality show.
What is yet to be seen is weather the “Dhak Dhak” girl of Bollywood will be able to recreate her magic with films like ‘Gulaab Gang’ and ‘Dedh Ishqiya’.
