MP reserves land in Bhopal for film city

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has reserved a piece of land in the state capital for the proposed film city, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.

"The state has lot of opportunities for the production of films and the government has reserved a land for the construction of a film city in Bhopal," he told reporters after launching the opening shot of the film `Gali-Gali Mein Chor` being produced by Rumi Jaffery, who hails from Bhopal.
Chouhan said that earlier also films like "Rajneeti" and "Aarakshan" were successfully produced in the city.

He said he would like more filmmakers to explore the potential of Madhya Pradesh as that will create employment for the people and also provide opportunities to the budding talent.

Besides Jaffery, music director Annu Malik, actors Akshay Khanna, Shreya Sharan and Mugdha Godse were present on the occasion.
