Mumbai: The Mumbai Film Festival today announced a new initiative `India Project Room` as part of the Mumbai Film Mart to fuel cinematic cross cultural ties.
The three day event is aimed at showcasing under-production Indian films for pre-selection and interest by international festival programmers and buyers. It will be launched at the 3rd Mumbai Film Mart from 18 to 20th October. The `India Project Room` initiative will encourage more international festival programmers and buyers to easily access a larger number of quality Indian films at a single venue. "We are proud to announce the India Project room... It will be a great way for Indian filmmakers and producers to showcase their forthcoming films to festival programmers and selectors to see what India has to offer for the coming year," Mumbai Film Festival director Srinivasan Narayanan said in a statement.
