Mumbai: Keeping with the family ethos in the dynamic world of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar made sure that he was around his ailing father-in-law Rajesh Khanna right till his last breath. After confirming the legendary superstar’s death, Akshay came out in open as the sole family spokesman to share more about Bollywood’s greatest grief which has rattled the entire nation.
Akshay said that Khanna "has gone to a very nice and heavenly place" and asked his fans to say their prayers for the star.”
Rajesh Khanna is survived by wife Dimple Kapadia and daughters Twinkle and Rinkie.
Scores of fans gathered outside his `Aashirwad` home on Carter Road in Bandra on Wednesday following the news.
The veteran actor had been battling with health issues for a long time and was admitted twice to hospital in the last few months.
