No re-make for ‘Agneepath’ down south?

Zeenews Bureau

Mumbai: ‘Agneepath’, one week after its release, is still ruling the box office. Karan johar and his Dharma Productions have definitely made a dent in the minds of his viewers. And added to that is the consummate acting skills of Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, Om Puri: the list just doesn’t seem to end!

According to reports, filmmakers from the Southern part of the country have been drooling over the movie. Apparently, they are already queuing up in front of KJo in an attempt to secure the rights of ‘Agneepath’ for themselves.

The news has been spreading like wildfire all over the country, but Karan Johar is quiet about the entire affair. Rumour has it that the filmmaker is waiting for the correct time to break the news, and till something concrete takes place, he has decided to be silent. Also, from what we have heard, Johar is not very keen on selling the rights of ‘Agneepath’ to filmmakers down south – and there’s no solid reason for the same!

A source has revealed, “It`s a very dear movie to Karan. He`s going to think ten times before giving away any remake rights. And even if he does sell the rights, he may want to be part of the making and involved in some integral way. Karan may be a good businessman, but he is extremely emotional, and sentimental.”

So no immediate re-makes of the remade ‘Agneepath’, eh?
