Not without Aishwarya, says Raj Kumar Santoshi

Mumbai: While Madhur Bhandakar promptly dropped Aishwarya Rai post the news of her pregnancy, filmmaker Raj Kumar Santoshi has decided to wait for Ash and has postponed the shooting of ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’. When the news of Ash’s pregnancy broke out, Bhandarkar went all out and declared to the world that how he felt betrayed that his leading lady had not bothered to inform him about her health. Madhur had grand plans for ‘Heroine’ which went kaput post the pregnancy news. Eventually Kareena Kapoor replaced Ash in the ambitious project. Meanwhile, Raj Kumar Santoshi had also announced his new project with Abhishek and Aishwarya in the lead. The romantic comedy was to star the real life couple in the lead roles. But with Ash being pregnant, rumours started floating about how Preity Zinta was being roped in to replace Ash. But the latest news is that Santoshi has postponed his film. The filmmaker who shares a great rapport with the Bachchans is not in favour of replacing Ash and understands her situation. Having worked with her in ‘Khakee’ earlier, he is quite adamant to make the new film with Aishwarya. However, it is still unclear if Aishwarya would return to films soon after the delivery. She may take a long break to take care of the baby. If that happens, not only will her fans but even Santoshi would be left quite disappointed.
