Now, Rani makes an entry in ‘Dhoom 3’

Mumbai: Yash Raj Films is busy chalking out a meaty role for their ‘rani’, actress Rani Mukherjee in their ambitious project ‘Dhoom3’.

The actress who delivered a powerful performance in last year’s ‘No One Killed Jessica’ has not had a release for a long time. Instead, she has been in news for her alleged involvement in Yash Raj Films courtesy beau Aditya Chopra.

The production house has roped in Aamir Khan to play the villain in the popular franchise. Along with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra(who were a part of the earlier two films) the film also star Katrina Kaif. And now, the makers are planning to rope in Rani as well.

Speaking to a daily, a source involved with the project said, "Rani might be seen in a role similar to Aishwarya Rai in ‘Dhoom 2’. In ‘Dhoom 3’, Aamir is playing the villain and Rani shares a fabulous rapport with him. In fact, she had once mentioned on a chat show how Aamir had been her best co-star among all Khans."

The film was initially to be released during Christmas this year but now the release date has been postponed to early 2013. The shooting will begin only in November this year and Rani will have ample time to prepare for her role.

Aamir and Rani will also feature in Reema Kagti’s ‘Talaash’ which will release in June this year.

"YRF has three big films with the Khans - Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir. Two of these projects are already on floors. This leaves only Dhoom3 open with a challenging female role. Rani too is keen on being a part of the film. She will take a call soon," said a source.

The film will be written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who had written the earlier two films in the series.

When contacted, an YRF spokesperson said, "We will make a D 3 announcement as and when there is something new to share."

While Esha Deol, Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu have all donned the bikini in the ‘Dhoom’ franchise before, question is will Rani too be seen in two-piece!
