One dimensional characters don`t interest me, says Vidya Balan

Dubai: Vidya Balan has revealed that she doesn`t like "one dimensional characters" and looks for substance in roles before she signs films.

During a recent promotional event, on being questioned about the moral bankruptcy plaguing Bollywood with its titillating songs and double-entendre dialogues, the National-Award winning actress said that she doesn`t like one dimensional characters and looking pretty in movies, reportedly.

The `Dirty Picture` star added that she looks for substance in roles, which according to her is the beauty.

Balan`s upcoming film ` Bobby Jasoos` in which she plays a feisty Hyderabad-based amateur private detective, Bilkis Ahmed a.k.a Bobby, is set to release soon.
