Mumbai: John Abraham, who plays one of Priyanka Chopra’s seven husbands in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf, has refused to indulge in any kind of publicity for the movie. Apparently, the hunk is suffering from a superiority complex and feels that it’s unfair that he is put at the same level as the other six male actors who play Piggy Chop’s husbands in the movie.
John’s starry tantrums were not appreciated by the ace filmmaker. Vishal is of the opinion that the other six husbands of PC in the film are as important as John and so no special treatment should be meted out to him alone.
Talking to a tabloid, a source close to the unit said, “Vishal was very clear that none of the seven male leads was going to get any preferential treatment in the film, or otherwise. Each of them is an equal and important chapter in the protagonist’s life. Be it Naseer, his son Vivaan, or even John.”
Surprisingly, John who plays second fiddle to Priyanka in the film has issues being treated as one among the seven characters who play husbands in the much awaited flick. However, the dashing star did not mind sharing the limelight with his ‘New York’ co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh, who plays one of Priyanka’s husbands in the film.
“John was not ready to share the limelight with Priyanka’s other six screen-husbands. He was under the impression that he would be given more prominence over his colleagues and not be relegated to being ‘just another husband’ in Priyanka’s domestic harem,” adds the source.
