Kolkata: Indian percussionist Bickram Ghosh has realised his ultimate dream and has launched his own production house.
While music will remain one of the key areas where his `Melting Pot Production` will focus on, it will also be equally involved in providing content for other media.
"We want to create substantial content for television, present creative events, produce select films and absorb untapped talent and students who will be honed and presented by the company for a brighter future," the tabla maestro said.
Bickram had shot to limelight after featuring on Pandit Ravi Shankar`s album ‘Full Circle’ that won the ‘Grammy Award’ in 2004.
He said his company has already laid its hands on a few music projects and collaborations featuring the likes of Sonu Niigaam and Hollywood composer and percussionist Greg Ellis.
Having played with a number of stalwarts of Indian classical music, Bickram is widely recognised for his incredible range on the tabla and has over 40 classical CD releases worldwide.
Bickram`s wife and actress-danseuse Jaya Seal Ghosh is also a partner in the project. Bickram acted in one Bengali movie `Hothat Neerar Jonnyo` by Subrata Sen six years ago during the shooting of which he met Jaya Seal.
