Mumbai: It all started when `Bodyguard` producer Atul Agnihotri expressed his desire to make a film on Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. The producer, who was still basking on the success of his Salman Khan starrer wanted to double the celebrations by announcing a biopic on Rajini. But, off late, things have shaped up awkwardly both for Atul and Rajini’s family.
Recently, Atul had clarified that Salman Khan was never considered to play Rajini in the biopic but now whether or not he will get a chance to realize his ambitious project is something for Rajini’s family to tell.
Buzz has it that the superstar’s family is contemplating making a film on Rajini and reportedly Soundarya, daughter of the veteran actor has been trying to get in touch with Atul.
Talking to a tabloid, Soundarya said, "I`ve tried to contact Atul Agnihotri, but I haven`t got any response. We have not authorised anyone to do a biopic on my father. We reserve our rights on this matter."
However, Soundarya hasn’t yet ruled out the possibility of talks with the Bollywood producer.
Expressing his respect for Rajini’s family and how their consent is very important for him, Atul had earlier stated, "There is a huge responsibility involved in making a film on Rajinikanth. We need his approval and contribution. Making a film on him will be an enriching experience for us."
But now huge differences seem to be brewing between the two parties.
Hope all ends well!
