Mumbai: Rohit Shetty is one among those dynamic and young filmmakers who have actually made it large in Bollywood. Delivering five back to back hit films with ‘Golmaal’, ‘Golmaal 2’, ‘Golmaal Returns’, ‘All The Best’ and now ‘Singham,’ Rohit Shetty today is a name to reckon with. Two of his films have grossed over Rs. 100 crore - a distinction few directors can boast of. But, ask him who he thinks is Bollywood’s Director No. 1 and the he quips Raj Kumar Hirani.
Not the one to boost about his achievements, Rohit feels that it’s better to keep on working and let your work speak for itself.
Talking more about success mantra, Rohit Shetty said, “Firstly, the film has to be entertaining. Secondly, you should be fearless. If you are making a hardcore commercial film, go all out; don`t try to balance it for the critics or a niche audience.”
He said that he treats cinema like a product that he presents to the customer (the audience).
Post the success of his last film ‘Singham’, anybody else would have hosted a huge success bash to celebrate by now, but Rohit is quietly working on his next film instead.
