Mumbai: National Award winning director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is set to launch Anil Kapoor`s son Harshavardhan in his latest movie `Mirza Sahiban`. Mehra seems to have taken a huge liking for the Kapoor children as he has already cast fashionista Sonam in 2 of his big projects, `Delhi 6` and `Bhaag Milkha Bhaag`.

"`Mirza Sahibaan` is ready to take off, it will go on floors in September this year and we will release it by the end of the next year. It is a musical film in a way. It is action-tragedy-romantic film... Now this could be a genre breaking for the country," Mehra said.

The director is testing some new ideas for the music of `Mirza...`.

"We have a depth in folk music of our country. I feel uncomfortable when actors lip sync. I have stretched my love for music in this film a further more. It is a challenging film, we are working hard on it," Mehra said.

Newcomer Saiyami Kher is to star opposite debutante Harshavardhan, and both the youngsters are working hard for the movie.

"Saiyami is a girl from North and Harsh is Anil`s son. I related to them as actors. It is challenging for them. They are preparing for the role since eight months, Saiyami is preparing since four months," Mehra said.

"They still have to work for four-six months before they get in front of the camera. It is hard work and we all have to prove ourselves right with this film," he said.

The filmmaker who practically swept 2013 award shows, is working on a lot of different projects including `Raja and the Legend of the Flute`, `Casual Kamasutra` and `Bhairavi`.

"There are quite a few films that I am working on. We are also thinking of working with small town writers and directors. The idea of `Raja the Legend of the Flute` is going on for seven years. We are working on it and it will take another two to two-and-a-half years," Mehra told PTI.

"It is a larger-than-life story. It talks about mythology and current affairs in the world. Then `Casual Kamasutra` is under research, it is close to my heart.. I was working as a fabricator in Delhi. In India, the income is imbalanced, it is about that and taking on multinational (companies)," he said.

The film `Raja and the Legend of the Flute` was earlier titled `Paanch Kaurav` which is supposedly an action romance-drama that is supposedly to be made in English and Hindi simultaneously. `Bhairavi` on the other hand is not going to take off right away.

"`Bhairavi` is on the back burner. One day when we get opportunity we will make it. Filmmaking is a huge process, it doesn`t happen immediately, it takes time," he said.
