Reema Kagti to begin shooting Aamir starrer in February

New Delhi: One film old Reema Kagti had surprised many by bagging `Mr Perfectionist` Aamir Khan for her next project, which is slated to begin shooting in February next year.

Aamir, whose last release `3 Idiots` was close to a year back, hadn`t signed a film for ages. In fact work on `3 Idiots` had begun more than two and a half years ago and ever since, there were speculations around his next project.

Aamir is not only acting in her untitled film, he has also stepped in to co-produce it along with Farhan Akhtar & Ritesh Sidhwani`s Excel Entertainment.

The young filmmaker, hailing from Assam, says she is gearing up for the film`s shoot beginning early next year. However, Kagti, whose first film `Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd`, garnered her critical acclaim, says she is not daunted by the challenge of directing Aamir, who has a reputation of being nosy on sets.

"Well, I am sure lot of people are surprised. They could perhaps be thinking that how come my movie got a precedence over the ones being designed by others," Kagti told reporters.

"I am not surprised though. I was in talks with Aamir for quite some time now and now that we have locked a script, it is time to set the ball rolling," said Kagti, also the co-scriptwriter of Hrithik Roshan starrer `Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara`.

Kagti says contrary to the beliefs, it wasn`t too tough for to convince the actor to agree on the script.

"There wasn`t much to-and-fro around the film. Aamir was happy with the written material and allocated dates as well. We should be beginning to shoot in February end/March beginning," she said.

While the film`s leading ladies (there are two in the film) are yet to be revealed, it is being said that this yet untitled venture would be ready for release by end of 2011.

The makers of this film are also the ones behind Shah Rukh Khan`s `Don 2`, being directed by Farhan Akhtar. `Don 2` is set for December 23 release.

The makers are planning to release Kagti`s untitled project around same time.
