Caution: This Friday, if you plan to watch Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Chatur Singh Two Star,’ make sure you are watching this clumsy comedy at your own peril. Well, this is exactly how ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’ should start, with an opening word of caution, which tips off the people entering cinema hall to watch the film. Leave alone the word ‘great,’ Ajay Chandok’s ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’ is not even a comedy by classic standards. Also starring Amisha Patel, Gulshan Grover, Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Sanjay Mishra and Suresh Menon, ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’ is a lame comedy, a no brainer which rather infuriates you instead of tickling your funny bone. ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’ is a classic bad comedy, which offers nothing except pedestrian stuff, asinine dialogues, sick gags and small laughter is what the film is all about. Apparently, Sanjay Dutt badly apes Jacques Clouseau as Chatur Singh Two Star, who tries to get inspired from Pink Panther. Sanjay, who is at the wrong side of age and shape, looks terribly jaded in the lead role. Moreover, he seems to be at a terrible loss of his comic timings, which once made him a household name as Munna Bhai. In ‘Chatur Singh Two Star,’ Sanjay plays a goofy cop, who has a knack of committing blunders. And to top it all, his sidekick Pappu (Suresh Menon) leaves you at your wit’s end. Sadly, Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Gulshan Grover and Sanjay Mishra hardly get any space to showcase their talents and are terribly wasted. Amisha Patel, who is seen after a long time on silver screen, needs to brush up her acting skills. ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’ is sheer madness. Ratings: One poor cheer for this one!
