Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Go Goa Gone’ trailer crosses over 2 mn views on YouTube

The theatrical trailer of `Go Goa Gone` has been viewed more than 2.2 million times to date.

Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan’s blonde zombie-hunter’s look in ‘Go Goa Gone’ has raised several eyebrows but people seem to have liked the trailer of film very much. Touted as India’s first zomcom, the theatrical trailer has been viewed more than 2.2 million times to date. With an easy access to English zombie films and television serials, zombie culture is fast evolving in India and with it people’s curiosity to watch this genre. No wonder within just 10 days of its release on youtube, the trailer has garnered such a huge hit. Director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK said “The response to Go Goa Gone trailer has been heart-warming. The humor, coupled with the novelty of concept is what attracting the viewers. We made this film with a sense of humor and wanted people to enjoy it for what it is and not take it too seriously. Understandably we were quite anxious when we were putting out the trailer. Now we are relieved and excited. It`s amazing how people took to this subject and treatment. The response to the trailer has been unbelievably positive! We knew we had a very cool trailer in hand. But we didn`t expect this amazing and spontaneous response to it! We are now very excited, and looking forward to the release... Because there`s much more from where the trailer has come from :).” Saif said, “The wide publicity the film has got so far is simply amazing. In fact, it is humbling experience to find that we now have an audience that is willing to accept new ideas and stories. This film is going to be the first of its kind in India.” Saif and Dinesh Vijan are producing this film under their banner Illuminati Films along with Sunil Lulla of Eros International. The zombie comedy, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, is all set to release on May 10th, 2013. The film also stars actors Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwary and Puja Gupta in key roles.
