Saif follows in the footsteps of Aamir, SRK and Akshay
Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan has now started following in the footsteps of his senior contemporaries like Aamir, Shah Rukh and Akshay Kumar. The actor, who is gung ho about his home production ‘Agent Vinod’ is very skeptical about letting his director Sriram Raghavan preside over the editing of the film. The actor, who has come of age since his ‘Langda Tyagi’ act in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Omkara’ is so obsessed with his film that he has literally sidelined the director of the film.
While talking to a tabloid, a source revealed, “Saif was travelling recently and an entire editing studio had been set up in his room where he has been editing ‘Agent Vinod’ with the help of an assistant editor.”
“This movie has been in the making for the longest time, and a lot of money and time has been put in this project. Saif at no point wants anything to go wrong with this film”, added the source.
However, filmmaker Sriram Raghavan is aware of the developments that are taking place in the film and he seems to be quite a sport.
When contacted by the tabloid, the director said, “Saif has made 5-6 different cuts with my assistant editor. He enjoys playing around with the cut and looking for the right kind of background music. I am also quite intrigued and amused by what he comes up with.”
But Saifu mockingly said, “Well, since I own the office they can’t really chuck me out. I am just messing around. Sriram is the captain of the ship and master of the editing room. I didn’t know he even knew I was there. Please don’t tell him.”
The Chote Nawab is quite serious about his “affairs” and it’s very much evident.
