Dubai: Actor Saif Ali Khan and girlfriend Kareena Kapoor will be attending the premiere of their upcoming movie "Agent Vinod" in Muscat on March 25.
The action thriller will be the first-ever film that will premier in Oman during the seventh edition of the Muscat International Film Festival (MIFF).
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film is made under the banner of Saif Ali Khan`s home production, Illuminati Films.
"A bit of Tintin, a bit of Bond, a bit of Alistair McLean and well, a little bit of fun and frolic and a lot of adventure that is what Agent Vinod, the much awaited Bollywood flick is all about," Saif said in a statement.
"I have visited Oman couple of times; I have a cousin living there. I love the country, quiet and peaceful, am absolutely thrilled to come to Oman for the `Agent Vinod` premiere. In fact, I am coming with some friends and am looking forward to the trip," the 41-year-old added.
The movie was shot in Morocco, Sri Lanka and Latvia among other countries and will hit the Indian theaters on March 23.
"This movie`s entry is ground-breaking as far as the nascent cinema industry in Oman is concerned. For Oman, it is the first ever movie premiere and it will be great to have movie stars like Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in town for the MIFF," said MIFF Chairman, Dr Khalid Al Zadjali, who made Oman`s first ever feature film `Boom`.
