Salman ‘Dabangg’ Khan turns editor for ‘Ready’
Mumbai: Bollywood Actor Salman Khan is geared up with upcoming film ‘Ready’ and he is fully involved in its post – production work as he does not want to take any chances with its fate.
Apparently, director Anees Bazmee has not had a good record at the Box Office with his last two projects; it seems Sallu has doubts on the filmmaker’s capability which is why he is personally looking at the final editing of the film.
No one can point a finger at Salman’s personal intervention in films as he had his last two films ‘Wanted’ and ‘Dabangg’ set the registers ringing at the Box Office.
The star does not want to take any chances with his films. In fact, he is having the film edited at his own post- production facility - Sight and Sound and is keeping a close look at all the details of editing.
A source said to a daily, "While he is busy with his shoots for ‘Bodyguard’, he has his trusted people checking on the progress. As soon as he gets done with the shoots, he heads to the facility himself, where he personally oversees the edits."
When contacted, Bazmee agreed to Salman’s active participation in the post production work. He said to a tabloid, "He is excited about the film and has been keeping a close watch. But he does not sit for the edits.
He is shooting for ‘Bodyguard’, from morning to night, and does not have the time to sit for edits. However, since he asked, I sent him a portion of the cut, which he returned with his suggestions." When questioned if ‘Ready’ is being edited at Sight and Sound, he denied, saying, "We are editing at a facility owned by T-series and not at Salman bhai`s production facility."
Well, Sallu has surely mastered the art of setting the Box Office on fire and we can’t wait to see yet another entertaining film from him.
