Salman Khan goes gaga over ‘Sholay 3D’

Mumbai: Ramesh Sippy’s ‘Sholay’ was re-released in a 3D format recently. The 1975 blockbuster with an ensemble cast proved to be one of the biggest hits of all times in the history of Indian cinema.

Penned by Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, ‘Sholay’ starring Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, Hema Malini and Amjad Khan continues to enthral movie lovers.
Son of writer Salim Khan- superstar Salman Khan- took to Twitter to heap praises on the film.
He wrote, “Saw sholay . Its still the best film ever . u have to see it , if u have kids take em too . It was an amazing experience (sci).”
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who reprised to the role of Jai in the film, too is amazed to receive such adulation for the film.
He tweeted, “Been quite a revelation to find such positive reactions to SHOLAY 3D .. most of it coming from kids not even born when it was made ! (sic), and added, “At Guild function, Salman and I chatting back stage, and he could not stop praising the film and its contents .. Farhaan joining in (sic).”
