New Delhi: `Jai Ho` - being a Salman Khan starrer - was expected to break all the records, but it`s first day collections has suprised one and all. The movie, which is helmed by Sohail Khan, couldn`t break the record of Salman`s earlier release `Ek Tha Tiger`s` first day collections.

Going by the trade analyst Taran Adarsh`s Box-Office estimates Khan`s first day collection of his recent release is Rs 17.55 crore. This figure is no where close to `Ek Tha Tiger` opening day collection, which is reportedly Rs 33 crores approx.

However, Adarsh also stated on the social networking site that the movie can do a good business in the coming days.

The drama flick, which stars Salman Khan, Daisy Shah, Sana Khan, Tabu, Danny Denzongpa,  Suniel Shetty, Genelia D`souza, is said to be a remake of Telugu flick `Stalin`.
