Mumbai: Even as the release of Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’ is eagerly awaited, news of its sequel being in the pipeline is already doing the rounds. The information has been revealed by the films’ main antagonist, Sonu Sood. Sood, playing Cheedi Singh, a youth politician in the flick told a news daily, “A sequel will happen... I don’t want to reveal a lot, but Cheedi Singh may come back in the sequel.” Talking more about his role, Sonu said, “Cheedi completes Chulbul Pandey (Salman); they both are incomplete without each other. He is powerful and unpredictable, and he also adds humour to the negativity. Actually, he is quite similar to the character of Gabbar Singh.” ‘Dabangg’ which is set to be released on September 10 is being produced by Arbaaz Khan and directed by Anurag Kashyap’s brother Abhinav Kashyap. The film, which promises to be high on action, includes what is being called ‘Bollywood’s first ever oil fight sequence’. The trailers of the movie have created a lot of buzz because of the bare-bodied combat scene between Khan and Sood. “I used to work out for four hours every day to get the look. Salman used to pull my leg and say that I should not look better than him in the movie,” says Sood, laughing. The film stars Om Puri, Vinod Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, and marks the debut of Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter, Sonakshi Sinha.
