Mumbai: Salman Khan, who turned a year ‘younger’ Thursday can now throw another bash to double the celebrations. Yes, if the latest buzz is anything to go by, then the flamboyant star’s latest, ‘Dabangg 2’, has made a business of Rs 100 crore at the Indian Box Office!
The film, directed by his younger brother Arbaaz Khan, was 2012’s last biggest film and has indeed lived up to people’s expectations. Starring Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Vinod Khanna, Arbaaz Khan and Kareena Kapoor in a cameo, ‘Dabangg 2’ has garnered appreciation worldwide.
The film had collected over Rs 64 crores in the first three days of its release and continued to keep the cash registers ringing.
Noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh had predicted yesterday that the film would certainly make it to the 100 crore club. He took to Twitter to write, “@taran_adarshAt the rate #Dabangg2 is faring, one can safely *assume* that the film will cross the 100 cr nett mark today. On 6th day of release (sic).”
