Mumbai: Salman and Shah Rukh Khan might not be the greatest friends in Bollywood but that does not stop the former in stealing the epic scene from SRK’s iconic film ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayange’ for his home production ‘Bodyguard’.
Apparently, Salman mimicked SRK`s famous train scene in DDLJ on Monday, for his upcoming venture ‘Bodyguard’.
Shooting at the Mumbai Central station, Salman did a Shah Rukh and pulled Hazel Keech aboard a moving train, much like what Raj (Shah Rukh) does for Simran (Kajol) in Aditya Chopra`s super duper hit DDLJ.
Talking to a daily about the similarity between the scenes from DDLJ and ‘Bodyguard’, an eyewitness said, “Phir bhi thoda door se, if you see it from the adjacent platform, dikh raha tha ki kya ho raha hai. If you had been there on the site, you couldn`t have helped noticing the uncanny resemblance between the two scenes, the one in ‘Bodyguard’ and the one in DDLJ. And since it was Salman, plus he was doing a SRK, it obviously garnered more attention.”
When asked, producer Atul Agnihotri confirmed the news and said, “Well yes, we did shoot a scene at Mumbai Central station. Aisa hai ki Hazel is late for the train, which is pulling away from the station when she reaches the platform. So, Salman helps her in.”
However, Agnihotri tried to downplay the scene and explained that it was not completely inspired from DDLJ. “Arre, the one in DDLJ comes in the climax!”
Well, wonder what SRK has to say about it!
