Mumbai: Fans have gone gaga over last Friday release ‘Dabangg’ which has certainly changed the Box Office equation in the industry. Especially for Salman Khan as this film is proving to be a turning point for the star as it re-establishing his superstardom more convincingly than any other film he has done in the recent past.
As an outcome of that, producers are going at any lengths to invest in films starring Salman and Sonakshi as the lead pair. Buzz has it that Sajid Nadiadwala, who is producing `Kick` starring Salman and Sonakshi Sinha, has quoted an exorbitant price of Rs 75 crore to Eros if they wish to acquire the movie’s rights.
Speaking to a news daily, a source revealed, “When `Kick` came on the table for discussion, Nadiadwala quoted a price of Rs 75 crore after considering Salman’s market value post-release of ‘Dabangg’. Eros has found the amount too huge, but is still working out the logistics.”
When contacted, an Eros spokesperson said, “We share a very good relationship with Sajid and he has not discussed any amount with us.” Sajid Nadiadwala also said, “I haven’t spoken to them as yet. We yet have to lock the script and work on our budget.”
No doubt that Salman and Sonakshi have become the hot favorites after the grand success of ‘Dabangg’. Will it stand the test of time is what remains to be seen.
