Sanjay Dutt ropes in Amitabh Bachchan for ‘Desi Boyz’
Mumbai: Acknowledging the shelf life of an actor, aging star Sanjay Dutt wants to try his hands at film production now.
News has it that Sanjay Dutt has roped in Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and close friend Sunil Shetty for his maiden home production ‘Desi Boyz.’
Directed by comedy king David Dhawan, the laugh riot was announced just a fortnight ago by Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn. Buzz has it that Sanju baba is keen to cast all those who have been exceptionally close to him in Bollywood.
By the way, Sanjay shares a terrific rapport with Amitabh Bachchan, and both have previously acted together in super hit films like ‘Kaante’, ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’, ‘Eklavya’ and ‘Aladin.’ Apart from acting, the two are closely associated with Amar Singh and the Samajwadi Party. Also, Sanjay Dutt’s one of the few Bollywood stars, who was invited for the Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding. Even Amitabh Bachchan made it a point to attend the book launch of Sunil and Nargis Dutt in 2007.
Whereas, Sanjay’s friendship with Sunil goes back a long way as both stars have been extremely loyal to each other.
It is believed that David Dhawan will start the shooting of ‘Desi Boyz’ in October.
