Mumbai: Here is a classic Jai-Veeru story on the fore! It becomes all the more unbelievable specially after looking at the competitive ways of existence in Bollywood.
Everyone does vouch for the friendship bond shared by Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn. And a recent incident only adds to the popular perception, when for the sake of his friend’s convenience, Sanju shifted the release date of his next film ‘Knockout’ because he did not want it to clash with Ajay’s next release ‘Aakrosh’
Speaking to a news daily, a source confirmed, “Kumar Mangat’s ‘Aakrosh’ and Sohail Maklai’s ‘Knockout’ were both slated to be released on October 1, 2010. However, since both Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn are very close friends, the release date of ‘Knockout’ has now been shifted to either October 8 or 15.”
The source further said, “Sohail Maklai who is also a close friend of Ajay’s, observed that both films were releasing on the same day. He called Sanjay Dutt about this, who wasted no time in calling Ajay and sorting the matter.”
So, it was all sorted out in minutes. Ajay seems to have found a new friend in Sohail too.
The director confirmed, “Yes it is true. We all mutually decided to shift ‘Knockout’ by a week or two. I called Sanju in South Africa and he took Ajay on the conference and we decided that there is no point in clashing the two films. It would hamper each other’s business.”
Well, that’s a neat and amicably solved problem! Let’s hope Ajay and Sanju’s friendship becomes an inspiration for other warring camps in Bollywood.
