Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan can be quite a formidable enemy or so it seems. The actor is making sure his one time pal Farah Khan’s film ‘Tees Maar Khan’ doesn’t have a smooth run at the Box Office. Believe it or not, but in an attempt to ensure that Farah’s film TMK that is slated for a Christmas release this year is not the only film around that time, the actor has influenced Eros to release their film ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ around the same time.
As per reports SRK, who is very close to the Kishore and Sunil Lulla, head honchos of Eros International, persuaded them to shift the release date of their film ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ from Dec17 to Dec 24.
Sources suggest that SRK had been miffed with Farah ever since she signed Akshay Kumar for the lead role in the film, thereby switching her loyalties. SRK, who did not take this lightly, gave full proof of his strained relations with Farah when he refused the lead role in her remake of cult film Satte Pe Satta.
However, even as sources confirm the news, co-producer of ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’, Kumar Mangat said, "Aisa nahi hai. Toonpur Ka Superhero ka producer main hoon aur maine uska release date decide kiya."
Talking as to why the release date was shifted from Dec 17 to Dec 24, the company`s official spokesperson said, "Toonpur Ka Superhero has been scheduled for Christmas Eve as it is a children/family entertainer. No other reason. So, December 24 would be a perfect time to release the film as vacations would have begun by then".
