Shah Rukh Khan gearing up to resurrect the magic of ‘DDLJ’!

Zeenews Bureau

Mumbai: As Raj Malhotra, Shah Rukh Khan tasted such fame, the likes of which he hadn’t done before. And roughly two decades down the line from the release of ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge’, King Khan is all set to revive the role of Raj Malhotra in Yash Raj Films’ untitled next.

‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge’ shot to the status of a cult film – what with the extremely aesthetically and beautifully shot scenes in Switzerland, or the repressive family, or the Prince Charming who battles all odds and wins the hand of his princess. DDLJ had it all. And according to reports, Yash Raj Films is working frantically on their next project, which is to resemble DDLJ in certain aspects.

A source who has been closely associated with the film revealed to a leading daily, “The story takes a major leap of about 15 to 18 years. In the first part of the film, SRK will be seen as a young carefree youngster romancing Katrina Kaif. In the second part, he will be shown as a 40-plus man that is close to the way he looks now.”

Scripted by Aditya Chopra, the film looks all set to woo audiences with a character similar to that of Raj Malhotra in ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge’. The source further informed, “Although no one quite knows the story of Yashji`s film, it is now known that SRK will have two distinct looks. The second one, that of a man in his 40`s, will be similar to the way he looks now. A lot of work will go into making SRK look exactly like Raj of DDLJ. SRK is very excited to play his younger self, and some of those portions have already been shot in London.”

Looks like YRF is gearing up for another blockbuster. And added to that is the beauty of Katrina Kaif and the charm of Shah Rukh Khan. YRF sure likes to keep their fans waiting with bated breaths!
