Shah Rukh Khan in Anurag Kashyap’s film?

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and critically acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap may finally come together for a project after months of speculation.

New Delhi: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and critically acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap may finally come together for a project after months of speculation. The two met at the actor`s London residence to discuss doing a film together after ‘Bombay Velvet’, and the meeting has been fixed by none other than the effervescent Anushka Sharma, reported a leading daily. “After Anushka signed ‘Bombay Velvet’; Anurag developed a great equation with her. Post the initial script reading sessions, they started discussing other projects and that is when Anurag happened to discuss a script which Anushka thought was a perfect fit for SRK,” the daily quoted sources as saying. The leading lady from ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ made sure the meeting happened at the earliest. Rumours had been previously doing rounds in B-Town that according to Kashyap King Khan would not be the right choice for the film in question, but the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ director denied ever have felt so. However if the current reports are to be believed, post Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’, Shah Rukh may consider taking Anurag Kashyap’s script for his next production. The much-admired director’s thriller- ‘Bombay velvet’ stars Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar and Anushka Sharma and is based on real events of the 1960’s. The film is being produced by Danny Boyle of the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame.
