Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Ra.One’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2011. Buzz has it that ‘Ra.One’ has just got bigger and better for the film could make a big splash at the Box Office this Diwali as the actor-producer plans to release it in 3D format. Buzz has it that ‘Ra.One’ DVDs will have alternate endings given the huge length of the film. Additionally, ‘Ra.One’ focuses primarily on action scenes and glossy visual effects, something for which SRK pumped huge amount of money. Apparently, the post-production work pushed the release date of the film as SRK wanted to convert the live action film into slick 3D format. Talking to a daily, a source associated with the film said, “Even though we have shot in the standard live action format, we all think it would be cool to have the film in 3D. It is not just specialist teams from the West but also our very own Prime Focus that has initiated discussions on how they plan to convert the film to 3D. SRK and Anubhav will decide on the 3D details after the post-production is more or less complete.” When contacted, director Sinha said, “Right now, the whole post-production work on the film is taking place at various levels. Although we have been approached, we haven’t yet taken a call on the conversion.” However, Sinha added that ‘Ra.One ’ will be converted into 3D only when the post-production work is complete by April 2011 as, “But of course, we’ll first need to see the tests to have a better perspective of what kind of 3D look they have in mind for our film. Depending on that we shall take a call on whether to convert it or stick to the live action format we have already shot.”
