Mumbai: Farah Khan’s decision to cast Akshay Kumar in place of good pal Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Tees Maar Khan’ has had far reaching repercussions than she imagined. The superstar has now snubbed the filmmaker, who is going around town praising him to make amends for her past actions. Believe it or not, but the once good pals, SRK and Farah, are now a thing of the past. With SRK snubbing Farah’s latest offer to act in the remake of 80’s cult film ‘Satte Pe Satta’, the two friends have finally gone in separate directions. According to the latest buzz, Farah Khan was gung ho on directing a remake of Satte Pe Satta. Not only had she spoken to Raj Sippy’s son Mintoo about buying the rights, she had also assumed SRK would act in her film. Nevertheless, the filmmaker was left gravely disappointed when SRK turned her offer down. Confirming the news a source said, “Farah wanted to make Satte Pe Satta. She was much too assured that Shah Rukh would play a lead role in the film. But after she told SRK about her plans, he stated a firm no. “ And even though the actor stated that the idea of a remake didn’t appeal to him, sources state that SRK is still harbouring grudges over Farah’s decision to cast Akshay instead of him in her upcoming venture. Talking about the growing animosity between Farah and SRK, the source further added, “How long could Farah wait for him? He even refused Shirish Kunder’s film and didn’t show interest in the film based on Anuj Chauhan’s novel The Zoya Factor which Shirish was supposed to direct for his production house It was because of Farah’s love and respect for Shah Rukh that she went to him for the Satte Pe Satta remake.”
