Shah Rukh teams up with Anurag Basu despite ‘Kites’ debacle
Mumbai: Anurag Basu’s latest flick ‘Kites’ might have had a disastrous run at the Box Office, but that hasn’t stopped A-list actors from working with the filmmaker.
The director, who is working with the best actors in the industry, has now signed Shah Rukh Khan for his next project. And this seems to be quite an achievement for the taskmaster, who, after getting Hrithik in ‘Kites’, Ranbir in ‘Khamoshi’, has now got King Khan onboard for his untitled project.
As per sources, the film will be produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The two got cracking on a concept recently and Anurag left a happy man after the meeting.
Confirming the news a source said, “Shah Rukh and Anurag have met several times at various events. They both have common interests and have discussed cinema at length. Both have shown keen interest in working together. Finally, a proper meeting was arranged between the two and they have finalised a script.”
“Shah Rukh has liked Anurag’s movie and likes his different take on cinema. Shah Rukh is open to experimenting with roles. Currently, he is working on Anubhav Sinha’s Ra.One which is a complete special effects film, very different from what he has done in the past. Anurag and the star discussed several ideas. They are still finalising the concept,” adds the source.
Well, here’s one film to watch out for!
