Shahid Kapoor performs Parkour in `Mausam`
Mumbai: Bollywood poster boy Shahid Kapoor is bitten by the method acting bug, for the dimpled actor is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that his new look matches his characterisation in Pankaj Kapoor’s ‘Mausam.’
News has it that Shahid Kapoor will be performing Parkour in ‘Mausam.’ It is believed that Shahid will be joined by his personal trainer Abbas Ali from Mumbai to Scotland for the training schedule. Incidentally, Ali was instrumental in preparing Shahid’s sinewy look in ‘Kaminey’ and ‘Chance Pe Dance.’
Talking to a news daily on Shahid’s Parkour training, Abbas Ali said, "Currently Shahid is abroad and preparing himself for the role. For the time being, there is a trainer he has hired there. I am regularly in touch with Shahid and have also mailed him the first set of exercises."
When enquired whether the actor will go for a six pack look, Abbas clarified, "The trend of six packs is over and anyways it is not even required in the film. He plays a fighter pilot and the training will be on the lines of what the NDA (National Defence Academy) guys do. I will be flying in two weeks time (to Scotland)."
"Shahid has never been through Parkour training and so I have prepared a set of exercises called Parkour conditioning. This prepares the body to take a fall and makes you more flexible. Weights are the last thing I would be focussing on. He might also do some Parkour moves in the film," Ali said.
