New Delhi: Following the success of ‘Vicky Donor’, director Shoojit Sircar helmed a docu-feature ‘She Can, You Can’, highlighting the work of two women who attempted to bring change in the society.
The campaign for direct selling company Tupperware India is the first that Sircar has shot after the release of his successful film ‘Vicky Donor’, which presented a positive approach to sperm donation. The ‘She Can, You Can’ docu-feature puts the spotlight on the work of Saloni Malhotra and Chhavi Rajawat. Born in Jaipur, Rajawat is credited to be the youngest woman sarpanch in the country. An alumna of Lady Shri Ram College, she is an MBA degree holder and left her cushy job in the corporate sector to return to her paternal village of Soda, to run the affairs of the village. Malhotra, an IT professional, set up DesiCrew Solutions, which provides livelihood to rural and semi-urban India through business process outsourcing. Sircar felt the stories of these two intrepid women were extremely inspiring, and was impressed with Tupperware for bringing such silent workers to the fore. IANS
